We are in the midst of a global virus crisis and no one knows
how long it will last or how severe it will be.

Those of us on the Sunshine Coast are working together to support each other and to brace for what comes next. The eye of that storm will land squarely on our health care providers at Sechelt Hospital. It is for that reason that the Sechelt Hospital Foundation immediately approved emergency funding to pay for personal protective equipment, supplies and other medical requirements that our heroic frontline doctors and health care staff members need to protect vulnerable patients on the Sunshine Coast.

Our $100K Covid 19 Emergency Support Fund was immediately, and generously, matched by the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary and we continue to receive donations and support from all of you.  In fact, just this morning we received a cheque for $10K from a grateful patient who had emergency surgery at Sechelt Hospital very recently. He asked us to put the money where it will do the most good, and we have! 

For those who have been asking how you can help, please consider donating right now to ensure we are ready to meet the crisis. At the request of VCH, the Hospital Foundation is coordinating volunteers, gifts in kind and would be happy to hear from you.
